ZXing supports QR and several common one-dimensional formats. Camera and format support depend on the browser and device. HTTPS or localhost is required for camera access; upload an image when a camera is unavailable. Decoded links are not opened automatically.
Why will my code not scan?
Check the value, contrast, quiet zones, print resolution, and physical size. Avoid distorted images and fit-to-page printing. Test with the actual scanner used in your workflow.
Does the scanner work on every browser?
Camera access requires HTTPS or localhost and explicit permission. Device cameras and supported barcode formats vary. Image scanning is available as an alternative.
