How to print barcodes from Excel without losing zeros

Prepare text-formatted identifiers, map columns, validate rows, and generate local barcode batches from spreadsheets.

Format identifiers as text before entry

Excel may remove leading zeros or round long numeric identifiers. Format barcode and SKU columns as text before entering or importing values. A numeric cell whose zeros have already been removed cannot be reconstructed reliably. Formatted display values are retained when available, but text cells are the safest source.

Map and validate every row

Use a simple header row such as Barcode value, Product name, SKU, Price, and Quantity. Upload XLSX or CSV, select the barcode value column, and choose the intended barcode standard. Inspect row-level errors. Do not fix a bad check digit blindly; confirm the source identifier first. Invalid rows are skipped only if you explicitly approve it.

Choose individual artwork or sheets

Download a ZIP when a downstream design application needs separate SVGs. Use a PDF sheet for a quick batch or bind spreadsheet columns to elements in the label designer for richer product labels. Print a test sheet at 100% scale and check both the scanner result and label alignment before the full run.
